Mission & Goals

Our mission is to connect community and take systems level action to ensure all people in Hawaiʻi have enough food to live healthy, dignified, productive lives.

Develop and advocate for policy solutions that:

  1. Address the root causes of hunger to promote lifelong self-sufficiency and economic prosperity.

  2. Strengthen and streamline access to and administration of federal nutrition programs like SNAP, WIC, and child and senior nutrition programs.

  3. Strengthen cross-sector agency coordination and planning to ensure efficient disaster response.

  4. Build capacity for food banks, pantries, shelters, and food rescue operations to better serve communities.
